Patti Smith: Electric Poet
Patti Smith arrives in New York at the age of 20 and upends the codes of rock, poetry, and genre. She has become a living legend despite never leaving the bench. A poet, performer, and musician. Also a fighter. A 74-year-old artist with a thousand lives. The documentary follows the life of Patti Smith. First, childhood, and the artist who says: "I aspired to be someone unique. I felt disconnected. Not just from other children, but from the rest of the world. I spent my childhood imagining myself to be an alien." Patti grew up in rural New Jersey and was religiously educated by her Jehovah's Witness mother. Patti Smith, on the other hand, abandons the movement because it does not suit her artistic sensibilities.
