Move Over, Darling
Nicholas Arden and Ellen Wagstaff Arden are three years into their loving marriage and have two infant daughters at home in Los Angeles when their plane crashes in the South Pacific. Although the majority of the passengers survive the incident, Ellen is presumably killed when her lifeboat is swept away, and her body is never recovered. Let's fast forward five years. Nicky, in order to move on with his life, has Ellen declared legally dead. Moving on includes remarrying, this time to a young woman named Bianca Steele, whom he plans to take on their honeymoon to the same Monterrey resort where he and Ellen honeymooned. On the same day, Ellen is dropped off in Los Angeles by the Navy, who rescued her from the South Pacific island where she had been stranded for the previous five years. She requests that the Navy not publicize her rescue or notify Nicky, as she wishes to do so herself.
