Legiony
This is a universal story about adolescence in the face of adversity. With all of this historical context, we can appreciate the love story that is taking place between Józek (a former soldier who deserted to join the newly formed Legions of Odin), Ola (an agent of the I Brigade and a member of the Women's Leage), and Tadek, her fiancé and a member of the Shooting Team. Numerous historical personalities make appearances in the film, including characters whose stories were inspired by real-life legionnaires. A number of them, including Brigadier Józef Pilsudski, Lieutenant Stanislaw Kaszubski, and pseud. Filmed in1915, the battles of Kosciuchnowka and Oleandry provide a vivid depiction of the legion's fighting history from 1914 to1916. One of the film's most thrilling sequences is the famed uhlans' attack on Rokitna.
