I Hired a Contract Killer
After fifteen years' service, Henri Boulanger was created redundant from his occupation. Shocked, he attempts suicide, but can not go through with it, so he hires a contract killer at a pub to murder him at some unspecified time in the future. But he meets and falls in love with Margaret, a flower-seller, that makes Henri realise that his entire life has some meaning after all. But if he moves back to the pub to cancel the contract, he discovers it's been demolished - and there's no way he can get in touch with the killer...
