Horrors of Malformed Men
Hirosuke (Teruo Yoshida) , a health care student with almost no recollection of the past, is trapped in an asylum, even though being absolutely sane. After being framed for the murder of a circus girl, and escaping from the loonybin, he spots a man, Genzaburo Komoda, to whom he bears an uncanny resemblance's photo. Hirosuke assumes the dead man's identity including the widow and mistress of Komoda by pretending to have now been resurrected. Hirosuke recalls memories that convince him to visit Genzaburo's father, to a local island, home of Jogoro. Whilst on the island, Hirosuke not just finds Jogoro's plans to construct his own'ideal community' (by changing absolutely ordinary humans into hideous freaks), but in addition the horrible facts behind their identity.
