Gripped: Climbing the Killer Pillar
Gripped is a feature-length rock-climbing survival epic set on the side of a thousand-foot cliff in California's Sierra Nevada mountains. Rose, a gym climber from Los Angeles, embarks on her first outdoor climb in Gripped. Rose meets Bret, an experienced outdoorsman, while bouldering with her friend Jade. She persuades him to take her on a famous, advanced rock-climbing route called "Killer Pillar," against his better judgment. Bret suffers a serious head injury and a torn shoulder when he falls. Rose must lead the climb to the summit because there is no other option. They still have a long way to go when night falls and are forced to bivouac on a cliffside ledge. Bret drifts in and out of consciousness the next day as a storm approaches. Rose is the only one who can save them both.
