F/X man Rollie Tyler is currently a toy maker. His girl friend Kim's ex-husband, mike, is actually really just a cop. He asks Rollie to help capture a killer. Until a man kills Mike and the killer the operation goes well. Mike's manager, Silak says it was the killer who killed Mike but Rollie knows it wasn't. Evidently, Silak is concerned about Mike's death, so he calls on Leo McCarthy, the cop by the last movie, who is now a P.I., to get assistance and so they discover it's not only Silak they must be concerned about.
