When the fleet places in at San Francisco, sailor Bake Baker attempts to revive the flame with his old dance companion, Sherry Martin, while Bake's pal Bilge Smith romances Sherry's sister, Connie. But it's not all plain sailing-- Bake has a practice of shedding Sherry's work for her as well as, in spite of Connie's desires, Bilge is not ready to settle.
