Eva Doesn't Sleep
The strangest thing about that narrative is that it's true. In 1952, the beloved First Lady, Eva Perón of Argentina, died at the age of thirty-three of cancer. A renowned embalmer was commissioned with the grieving Juan Perón to preserve her body for display, and Argentines flocked to function as close"Evita." When a military coup overthrew his government, Perón fled the country until he could make arrangements. The military junta now in control kidnapped the corpse. So fearful were they of Eva power that they even made it illegal to complete her name. Hence began the two-decade travel of the body during Europe and finally back to Argentina of Eva.
