Robespierre and danton were buddies and struggled together in the French Revolution, but by 1793 Robespierre had been the ruler, determined to eliminate resistance with a set of executions that are mass which became known as the Reign of Terror of France. Danton known as being a spokesman of those people, had been residing in relative privacy from the countryside, however telephone for the public to demand their rights and he returned to challenge Robespierre rule. Robespierre, however, could not accept this kind of challenge, even by colleague and a close friend, and he blocked a plan for the capture and execution of his allies and Danton .
