Cooper and Hemingway: The True Gen
As a whole, it was a great match: Ernest Hemingway, who wrote about people who had "grace under pressure," and Gary Cooper, who often played those characters in movies and TV. But in other ways, like politically, intellectually, and personally, Hemingway and Cooper were a study in contradictions, as were many of their friends. In this documentary, Sam Waterson tells the story of an extraordinary friendship that lasted more than 20 years. Kirk Douglas, Charlton Heston, George Plimpton, and Patricia Neal are all interviewed in the film.
