Max is actually a veteran of this racket. His latest -- and last -- gig is a nightmare of a fête, between stuffy period outfits to the cooks, a vain, hyper- sensitive singer that believes he's a Gallic James Brown, and also a morose, micro managing groom determined to create Max's nighttime as miserable as possible. But why is the affair bitter to endure is that Max's colleague and also ostensible girlfriend, Joisette, appears to have written off him, while openly flirting with a much younger host coolly about her duties. It's going to be a very long night... particularly once the groom's aerial serenade gets penalized.
