"If buildings could talk, what would certainly they claim concerning us?" CATHEDRALS OF CULTURE provides six surprising feedbacks. This 3D film project concerning the heart of structures enables 6 iconic and extremely different structures to speak for themselves, examining human life from the unblinking point of view of a manmade framework. Six well-known filmmakers bring their own aesthetic style and imaginative strategy to the project. Structures, they show us, are material manifestations of human idea as well as action: the Berlin Philharmonic, an icon of modernity; the National Library of Russia, a kingdom of thoughts; Halden Prison, the globe's most gentle jail; the Salk Institute, an institute for development science; the Oslo Music Hall, a futuristic synergy of art as well as life; and the Centre Pompidou, a modern society device.
