The Future Diary

Yukiteru Amano (Yuki) is a recluse who likes to write a diary on his cell phone and has only an imagined acquaintance named Deus Ex Machina, the God of Time and Space, as a companion. However, Yuki quickly discovers that Deus is not a fabrication of his imagination when Deus forces him to compete in a battle royale alongside eleven other people. The competitors in this "Diary Game" are given special diaries that may foretell the future, each diary having unique qualities that provide them both advantages and drawbacks.
