Max Headroom
Max Headroom is an American satirical science fiction TV show that was made in Britain by Chrysalis Visual Programming and Lakeside Productions for Lorimar-Telepictures. It ran from March 1987 to May 1988 on ABC in the United States. The show was based on Max Headroom: 20 Minutes into the Future, a British TV pilot made by Chrysalis for Channel 4 and shown in the UK. People often think that the series was made in the United States because it takes place in the United States and has almost an entirely American cast. It is also shown in the United States on the ABC network. The UK pilot was shown on Cinemax, and then for six weeks, the best parts of The Max Headroom Show, a music video show where Headroom appears between videos, were shown. ABC liked the pilot, so they asked Chrysalis/Lakeside to make the series for US viewers. Late in 1986, the show started making episodes. The first season had six episodes, and the second season had eight.
