Black Books
Black Books centres across wildly eccentric bookshop owner Bernard Black and the filthy tempered. Bernard's devotion to the twin joys of drunkenness and wilful antagonism enriches and deepens his lifetime and his assistant, of Manny. Bearded, good and sweet, Manny is all that Bernard isn't and will be penalized by Bernard relentlessly just for the crime of the present. They depend on each other as their friend, Fran, is dependent upon these for significance.
Black Books is a haven of books, wine and conversation, the only threat to the band's peace and prosperity is their own limitless stupidity.
