The Great Man's Lady
A statue of founder Ethan Hoyt is erected in Hoyt City, and 100-year-old Hannah Sempler Hoyt (who lives in the last house among the towers) is finally persuaded to recount her story to a 'female biographer.' Hannah meets and flirts with pioneer Ethan in 1848, and they elope on the spur of the moment. We follow them as they try to establish a city in the middle of nowhere, despite the Gold Rush, star-crossed love, danger, and heartbreak. The star appears to be "aging" at the age of 80.
