The Bridge of San Luis Rey
The Bridge of San Luis Rey is the American author Thornton Wilder's 2nd book, first published in 1927 to worldwide acclaim. It tells the story of the events which contribute with the own being about the bridge, and also several interrelated people who perish in the collapse of an Inca rope-fiber suspension bridge from Peru. [ A friar who has witnessed the tragic accident afterward goes on inquiring into the lives of these victims, trying some type of answer to the inquiry of why each had to die. The book won the Pulitzer Prize.
