The Blockhouse
When the Allies land in Normandy on D-Day, a group of slaves who were conscripted by the Nazis to erect their coastal defenses in 1944 are imprisoned in an underground bunker. There are abundant food supplies, but insufficient candles. During their entrapment, their growing boredom, illness, and jealousy parallel the gradual fading of the light.
