Salesman

This film by Albert and David Maysles depicts the struggle of four Mid-American Bible Company door-to-door salesmen: Paul "The Badger" Brennan, Charles "The Gipper" McDevitt, James "The Rabbit" Baker, and Raymond "The Bull" Martos. The going is tough for this hard-drinking quintet, who spend their days scouring small-town America for gold-leaf Bibles to an uninterested throng of lower-middle-class housewives and elderly couples.
