Rita, Sue and Bob Too
Realistic story of workingclass Yorkshire life. 2 school girls have a fling with a married man. Serious and light-hearted by turns. Andrea Dunbar accommodated rita, Sue And Bob Too from two of her controversial plays. Rita (Siobhan Finneran) and Sue (Michelle Holmes) are two teenagers living on a rundown real estate investment in Bradford who share a work babysitting for Bob (George Costigan) along with Michelle's (Lesley Sharp) children. Bob decides to shoot up Sue and Rita to deserted, countryside picture whilst going for a lift home. Plainly knowing what he's at heart, Rita and Sue are only too happy to oblige and have a sexual encounter with him that becomes a normal occurrence. Inspite of the film's blatant temperament, this does emerge as a somewhat controversial, though enduringly amusing film that has a gritty undertone.
