Restoration

A young doctor, Robert Merivel found himself and conserves the life span of someone close to the King. Merivel joins the King's court and lives the high life supplied to some his position. So as to deflect the suspicions merivel is arranged to wed his King's mistress. He is awarded one order by the king and that isn't to fall inlove. When Merivel finds himself in love with his new wife, the problem worsens. The King realizes and alleviates Merivel of his position and wealth. Merivel where he started is left by his fall from grace. And during his travels and reunions by having an older friendhe rediscovers what it really means to be a doctor and his passion for medicine that is true.
