Once There Was Brasília
The film, disguised as dystopian science fiction with references to George Miller and JG Ballard, proposes a reflection on the current Brazilian political and social situation, specifically the impeachment process of President Dilma Rousseff, rehearsing an alternative future for Brazil. As the country's political capital, and especially as one of the most symbolic utopias of the twentieth century in Brazil, Braslia shares the protagonism with a couple of renegades who survive by wandering marginally in search of personal and collective redemption.
