License to Kill

A bereaved family whose daughter was killed in a car accident caused by a drunk driver is outraged and frustrated by the inevitable bureaucratic delays in bringing the case to trial. Once in the courtroom, they are horrified as the young, understaffed district attorney appears unable to overcome the technicalities and maneuverings used by the driver's attorney to keep his client out of jail and driving legally. When the judge is forced to rule repeatedly in favor of the defense, it appears that the driver may avoid punishment entirely.
