Celia
Set in mid-1950s Australia, with communism on the rise and the country's farmlands overrun by rabbits, the film shows a long hot summer through the eyes and overactive imagination of nine-year-old Celia. Celia is torn between the brutal games and rituals of childhood and the inexplicable world of grown-ups after the death of her loving Grandmother. With horrific creatures prowling her nightmares at night, those imagined terrors merge with the banal harshness of the adult world during the day, leading to terrible and surprising outcomes.
